西北工業(yè)大學(xué)—外教主講的研究生全英文課程“偏微分方程的有限元方法”開課通知

　　課程名稱：The finite element methods for solving PDE（偏微分方程的有限元方法）

　　授課內(nèi)容：

　　通過對有限元方法的特點的進(jìn)一步理解，重新設(shè)計有限元程序的模塊化和參數(shù)化，使得對不同的偏微分方程和有限元算法，都是用不同的參數(shù)調(diào)用同一批通用的子程序，從而只需要對有限元程序包做小規(guī)模改動就能實現(xiàn)不同算法對不同偏微分方程的求解。課件將從偏微分方程一直講解到偽代碼，再用概念化的指導(dǎo)性編程將偽代碼翻譯為真實代碼并調(diào)試通過。

    Through a deep understanding of the features of the finite element methods, we will redesign the modulization and parameterization of the finite element code package so that the same set of subroutines can be repeatedly called with different input parameters for different PDEs and finite element methods. In this way, we only need to slightly modify the finite element package in order to solve different PDEs by using different finite element methods. The lectures slides will explain the derivation from the PDEs to the pseudo code. The conceptualized guided coding will help students translate the psedo code into the real code and pass the numerical tests.

　　何曉明，2002年畢業(yè)于四川大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系獲學(xué)士學(xué)位，2009年在弗吉尼亞理工大學(xué)獲博士學(xué)位，2009年至2010年在佛羅里達(dá)州立大學(xué)作博士后。2010年至2016年在美國密蘇里科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)任助理教授，2016年晉升為副教授，并獲終身教職。擔(dān)任計算數(shù)學(xué)領(lǐng)域國際期刊International Journal of Numerical Analysis & Modeling的編委和若干個國際期刊的guest editor，擔(dān)任SIAM Central States Section第一任主席和前兩屆年會的組織委員會主席。何曉明教授主要的研究領(lǐng)域是計算科學(xué)與工程, 研究問題主要包括界面問題，計算流體動力學(xué)，隨機偏微分方程，非線性偏微分方程，反饋控制問題，計算電磁學(xué)等。 他將計算數(shù)學(xué)與實際工程應(yīng)用問題結(jié)合起來，在科學(xué)計算和應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域做了大量的工作,在SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing，Journal of Computational Physics，Mathematics of Computation，Numerische Mathematik，SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis，IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science等雜志發(fā)表論文30多篇。
